Fairdale Grange Donates to Button-Weller Fund

For the second year in a row the Fairdale Grange recently made a generous $1,000 contribution to the Button-Weller Family Fund for Cancer Patients administered by The Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains. The Grange has a tradition of charitable support and with this donation the members wished to have a local impact. This charitable endowment was established in 2017 by the Button and Weller families of New Milford and Montrose to provide financial support to Susquehanna County Interfaith that provides services and assistance to local individuals and families who are being treated for cancer.

This endowment derives from personal experiences with cancer and for a number of years the families have organized a local running race to help raise funding for cancer patients. They intend to continue that event for this permanent endowment that will provide annual assistance for local families for many generations to come. The Button and Weller families extend their appreciation for this donation from the Fairdale Grange and adds that they are pleased to continue their tradition of assistance to cancer patients and looks forward to providing this assistance for many years to come.

Tax deductible donations to help build this fund are always welcome and may be sent to the Button-Weller Family Fund for Cancer Patients at The Community Foundation 270 Lake Avenue Montrose, PA 18801 or online at www.community-foundation.org.
