Community Bank NA recently provided $12,000 in assistance to Camp Invention held at the Tunkhannock Area School District. The contribution was made through the Pennsylvania Education Improvement Tax Credit program administered by the Tunkhannock Area School District Foundation which is an affiliate of The Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains. This assistance enabled 62 Middle School students to attend the one week summer enrichment program to foster an interest in science and technology. Camp Invention is held in schools throughout the United States and more can be learned at The Community Foundation has provided such assistance to Tunkhannock’s Camp Invention for ten years and is pleased to have Community Bank NA be the corporate sponsor for 2017.

This assistance continues a tradition of Community Bank NA supporting education in northeastern Pennsylvania, and since 2007 the bank has worked with The Community Foundation of the Endless Mountains regarding various educational assistance projects in this region. Barbara Maculloch, President of Community Bank NA states that “the bank is very pleased to assist deserving students and we hope this was an interesting and enjoyable start to their summer vacation.” Lisa Sniscak, Director of Camp Invention, points out that this assistance from the bank will enable local students to receive the technical and scientific education that is so vital to today’s students.
