April 16, 2010: Frontier Communications has made two generous contributions to the Pre-School and K-12 Scholarship Programs administered by The Community Foundation of Susquehanna & Wyoming Counties. The Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC) gives businesses corporate tax credits for donations to support scholarships for low to moderate income families to assist with Pre-school through High School tuition. Frontier has donated $20,000 to help fund these programs.

The scholarships help struggling parents provide educational opportunities for their children through tuition assistance for Pre-School education, Elementary and tuition-based Secondary schools, career and technology education, dual-enrollment in college courses while in High School, and other educational programs.

"Frontier prides itself on giving back to the communities in which we live and work," said Elena Kilpatrick, Frontier's Area General Manager for Pennsylvania. "We are pleased to support programs such as the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program and its mission to give deserving children a chance to experience private education."

Frontier Communications has supported The Community Foundation's EITC program since 2007, helping to provide 387 K-12 scholarships and 245 Pre-K scholarships by donating about $90,000 over the last three years. Community Foundation President, Peter Quigg, states "We appreciate the continued support of Frontier Communications. These scholarships are very helpful to our local families and Frontier has been an important partner with these programs."
