Mrs. Ruth Taylor Yeager
August 5, 2008: The family of the late Ruth Taylor Yeager of Montrose recently established a permanent memorial fund in her honor with The Community Foundation of Susquehanna & Wyoming Counties. Mrs. Yeager was a special needs teacher, and this endowment will provide assistance for special needs individuals to attend camps and programs.
Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of the Montrose High School and held degrees from Keystone College and Bloomsburg University. For many years she was a teacher of socially and emotionally disturbed youth. Her husband Jack felt that this endowment is a fitting tribute to his late wife because it will forever benefit people who were close to her heart.
The Community Foundation appreciates the Yeager family's idea to assist the less fortunate individuals from our area who are intended to receive assistance from the Ruth Taylor Yeager Memorial Fund. Those wishing to honor the memory of Mrs. Yeager, and enhance the assistance this permanent endowment will provide, may send contributions directly to The Community Foundation.
