Tom is a founding Director of The Community Foundation which greatly benefits from his vast experiences of local involvment. He is currently President of the Susquehanna County United Way, President of Creative Adventures for Education, Secretary of the New Milford Community Men's Group, a Board member of the Skylake Retreat Center, Lackawanna College, Peoples National Bank, and a Trustee of the New Milford United Methodist Church.

Tom holds a degree in Business Administration from Broome Community College, and he and his wife Mary Jane live in Great Bend Township where they raised their three children Erin, Kelly, and Joel.
